EARTH HOUR
March 16, 2009 - Earth Hour Earth Hour is an annual international lights out event happening on Saturday, March 28th at 8:30 p.m. The Eco Footprint Club of St. Francis School is leading its staff and students in supporting Earth Hour. This is an organized school-wide lights-out event that will take place Friday, March 27th, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. In turning out the lights for Earth Hour, St. Francis school is showing its commitment to environmental education and how taking simple steps in our lifestyle can make a big impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions-the biggest contributor to climate change. Join us and many other schools and businesses across the province in this environmental initiative that could save us millions of dollars while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Sing-a-long (tune of Twinkle, Twinkle) Earth hour, Earth hour comes once a year Turn out the lights and don’t have fear Turn lights off, in our homes Save energy, wherever we are We must start now, we can’t wait Quick, or it will be too LATE
